Accessibility, page by page, for anyone planning to reserve a gorge stay
The site aims to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA. Every page works with a keyboard, a screen reader and zoom to 200 percent.
Accessible by design on each page
- A skip link to the page content and one heading structure on every page
- Text alternatives for every picture, written while looking at it
- Each depth drawing carries a text label with its depth and line length
- Color contrast of at least 4.5 to 1 for text
- Form fields with visible labels, and no time limits
- No autoplay, no moving content, no pop-ups
Known limits
Wide price tables scroll sideways on small screens; the row headings stay readable as you scroll. The depth drawings show shapes that the text labels describe only as numbers.
Testing
Pages were checked at eight screen widths from a small phone to a wide desktop, with the keyboard alone, and with contrast measured in the browser. Pictures were opened one by one, and each text alternative describes what is in that picture.
Ramps, ground floors and the campgrounds
The site cannot make a gorge trail level. When you need an accessible cabin or room, say so and we ask each campground directly; the answer goes into the quote.
